Louisianna's Way Home - Kate DiCamillo

The book Louisiana’s Way Home Written by Kate DiCamillo, is about a young girl named Louisiana Elefante. Louisiana has always thought that she was a flying Elefante, because her parents used to Flying Elefante’s, that is, until they drowned. Louisiana’s guardian, her grandma, has always told her that there was a curse on top of her head because Louisiana’s grandma’s father had one sawed her mother in half, and refused to put her together again. The curse of sundering, that’s what it was called. When Louisiana was asleep, her grandma woke her up and drove her around until her teeth started falling off. Louisiana is bewildered because she has to leave her pets, Archie and Buddy, and her best friends, Beverly and Raymie. Louisiana must take control of her life and learn the truth and ingnore the lie’s. Why did Louisiana’s grandma take her out in such a big rush? Is Louisinna really a Flying Elefante?
